Privacy Policy

Ecazonal S.A. ("Ecazonal", "we") respects the privacy of visitors to ecazonal.com and processes their personal data in accordance with Ecuador's Organic Law on Personal Data Protection (LOPDP), published in Official Gazette Supplement 459 of May 26, 2021, and its General Regulations.

1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

We collect: (i) data you voluntarily provide when subscribing to the newsletter, such as name and email address; (ii) technical browsing data such as IP address, device type, pages visited and session duration, obtained through cookies and similar technologies.

3. Purposes of processing

We use your data to: send you educational and commercial information about real estate crowdlending; measure site audience; prevent fraud; and comply with legal obligations before competent Ecuadorian authorities.

4. Legal basis

We process your data based on your free, specific and informed consent (Art. 7 LOPDP) and, where applicable, on the fulfillment of legal obligations and Ecazonal's legitimate interest in preventing fraud and improving the service.

5. Retention

We keep newsletter data as long as your subscription remains active and up to 24 months after unsubscribing to evidence regulatory compliance. Browsing logs are kept for up to 14 months.

6. Recipients

We may share your data with technology providers acting as data processors (web hosting, email delivery, analytics). All of them are bound by a processing agreement and provide guarantees equivalent to those required by the LOPDP.

7. International transfers

When any of our providers is located outside Ecuador, we will apply standard contractual clauses or any other valid mechanism under the LOPDP to ensure an adequate level of protection.

8. Your rights

You may exercise the rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, portability, restriction of processing and not to be subject to automated decisions by writing to privacy@ecazonal.com. You may also file complaints with Ecuador's Superintendence for Personal Data Protection.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, backups, audit logs) to protect data against unauthorized access, loss or alteration.

10. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect regulatory or operational changes. The current version will always be published on this page along with its update date.
